Katie Schroder Hall
I’m Katie Schroder Hall, originally from Augusta, Georgia.
I’m a brander, a communicator, a connector, and a planner. I create experiences that help people know they are celebrated and significant.
I spent several years serving as director of development for local nonprofits, and now as a freelance fundraising consultant and grant writer, I help organizations to analyze their capacity and tell their stories well to build a community of supporters who make big things happen.
I hold a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Agnes Scott College, with concentrations in Southern literature and narrative nonfiction. Prior to transitioning full-time to the nonprofit sector, I proudly spent over a dozen years in the publishing industry, leading teams and executing full-scale promotional campaigns for fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books, at houses like HarperCollins Christian Publishing and WaterBrook Press, a division of Random House. I now provide author promotion consulting services.
I’ve been published by periodicals like Real Simple and Skirt, and have crafted recipes for a farm-to-table startup. As a certified yoga instructor, I enjoy sharing the benefits of the practice, especially with those who never thought they could experience yoga. Hospitality is my favorite spiritual gift. I love clever writers, velvet ribbon, triple lemon macarons, strong coffee, and everything about the sweet Southern life with my husband and our daughters just outside Nashville, Tennessee.
